Privacy Policy

1. How OneConvertly Processes Files

The majority of OneConvertly tools (PDF compression, image conversion, developer utilities, OCR, etc.) run entirely within your web browser using WebAssembly and the Web APIs built into modern browsers. When you use these tools:

• Your file is loaded into your browser's memory
• Processing happens on your device's CPU
• The result is returned to you as a download
• No data is transmitted to OneConvertly servers at any point

For a small number of tools that require server-side processing (such as Word to PDF conversion which requires LibreOffice), files are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection, processed in an isolated container, and automatically deleted within 1 hour. This is clearly indicated on each tool's page.

2. Information We Collect

Files: For client-side tools, we collect nothing — your files never reach our servers. For server-side tools, files are temporarily stored only for the duration of processing and deleted automatically.

Usage analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible Analytics) to understand which tools are used and how the site is navigated. This data is aggregated and anonymous — no personal data or browsing history is stored. No cookies are used for tracking.

Account information: If you create an optional account, we store your email address and preferences. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

3. Cookies

OneConvertly does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We may use a single session cookie if you create an account, solely to maintain your login state.

4. Third-Party Services

OneConvertly uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP address, URL) per their own privacy policy.
• Plausible Analytics (if enabled) — Privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics. No personal data collected.

5. Data Retention

For server-side processed files: deleted within 1 hour of processing completion.

For account data: retained until you delete your account.

For analytics data: aggregated, anonymous, retained for up to 24 months.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Contact us at privacy@oneconvertly.com to exercise these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

OneConvertly does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of OneConvertly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
